Everyone knows that a wedding reception on our fair isle hasn’t really begun until someone attempts Riverdance.
Our weak attempts at a ‘h’aon, dó, trí’, however, are nothing compared to this stellar display at a recent Irish wedding.
Bride Tanya Roberts Browne tells us;
“We got the shock of our lives when one of my bridesmaids, who was in Riverdance, put this dance together at our recent wedding!
I had a sneaky suspicion the bridesmaids were up to something when they appeared dressed in black but then when the groomsmen joined in we nearly died! Then our mothers and aunts appeared along with friends!
It was brilliant! They had secret meetings on two occasions and put the whole thing together behind our backs.
Best friends, ha?!”
Hat Tip: Cheers to Tanya for sending this one our way! if you’ve spotted something weird or wonderful you think should feature on Her.ie, get in touch! You’ll find us on Twitter here, on Facebook here or you can drop us a line to [email protected]!
