A video showing an apparently-drunk off-duty safari guide running towards a wild elephant at South Africa's Kruger National Park has gone viral.
Kruger Sightings has posted the video to YouTube, writing, "An absolute disgrace. Such behaviour is not allowed and should never be done" under it.
The reserve is owned by Singita Lodges.
The company has denounced the behaviour on it's Facebook page:
Very disturbing video footage in the social media arena has been brought to our attention and we are conducting a serious investigation into the background of what took place. The behaviour displayed in this video completely contradicts Singita's guiding ethos. The harshest disciplinary measures will be taken to address this incident.
We appreciate your support as we get to the bottom of this.
Kind thanks, the Singita Team
Luckily for the guy, the elephant ran the other way.
Although he probably just thought he was an eejit too.
