Viewers Share Their Reactions To RTÉ’s ‘I Am Immigrant’

I Am Immigrant aired on RTÉ tonight and it was a huge topic of conversation on Twitter. The second segment in a three-part series followed a number of Irish immigrants and documented their experiences of life in Ireland. The show focused on people who have just arrived in the country and those who have been here for quite some time. It's clear that the programme elicited an emotive reaction from many viewers who sympathised with those who said they felt marginalised. The above photo is of Ricardo Muntean, a member of the Roma community in Ireland. During the show, he spoke of how he applied for the Gardaí but met some tough opposition along the way. Well worth a watch for anyone who missed out.
