Most of us would be lucky if we lived to the grand old age of 100, so we’ll admit we were sort of gobsmacked when we came across this video of a 101-year-old man who is the oldest person to ever run the gruelling London Marathon.
Fauja Singh is 101-years-old, although to be honest, he doesn’t really look a day over 65. He was born on April 1st 1911, he has never had surgery, he shows no signs of heart disease and he has never had surgery in his life.
Fauja credits his diet for his good health. He says that instead of eating three large meals a day, he simply eats smaller portions. His reasoning for doing this is simple, but definitely carries some weight. Fauja says: “In poor countries people die of starvation, in rich countries they die of over-eating.”
We have to say if we look half as good as Fauja by the time we’re old and grey, we’ll definitely be pleased.
