Read All About It
We're very excited to announce that we will be recording our first Book Club podcast at Her.ie Towers next week. Once a month, we'll be choosing a new book and inviting readers to join in the fun and share their opinions. We'll also have lots more book news and features on the site. So, you can imagine our excitement this week when this lovely haul arrived in to the office. If anyone needs us, we'll be curled up in a corner somewhere with one of these.
A Room of One's Own
Marie has just moved into a new house and is looking forward to indulging her ultimate guilty pleasure, spending far too much money on funky homewares. Top of the wishlist is this Mid Century Retro Bedside Table from Urban Outfitters but at over €500, she'll have to start saving!
Dining Out
Sue and Grace went along to check out Green 19 on Camden Street for dinner during the week and they basically haven't stopped talking about the place since. All of the main courses are about €10 and Grace reckoned they had the "poshest water ever."
Light My Candle
Michelle has much love for a nice candle so she warmly welcomed a delightful delivery from Druids Glen this week. The luxury Wicklow resort has paired up with another Irish company, Brooke and Shoals, to create a new signature candle. Our conclusion is that White Lily and Gardenia is probably what heaven smells like. The candle is €19.95 and available to buy at the award-winning spa at Druid’s Glen.
Making Your Marker – Black Valentines
We’ll take any excuse for a trip to Dublin’s Marker Hotel. This luxury delight on Grand Canal Square boasts an exquisite spa and incredible food, as one of the best bars the capital has to offer. This week, we’re loving their different take on Valentine’s Day. While every other establishment will be decked out in pink and red, the Marker is instead offering loved-up diners ‘Black Valentines’, with a delectable menu planned by our old buddy, chef Gar Mullins. Sign us up.

Leaders of Men... Absolute Gentlemen.
This week Grace caught up with five lovely lads from Tallaght, better known as the group, Leaders of Men. The band release the debut single today, 'For Want Of A Better Word', the perfect musical gift for ladies this Valentine's Day. Witty, talented and charming, (not to mention handsome), Leaders of Men are Her.ie's ones to watch in 2014. Stay tuned for the lads hilarious interview, Grace found it extremely difficult not use her token phrase 'Absolute Gentlemen'.
Shop until you Drop
Rebecca headed out for a shopping trip this week with her mum and spent quite a lot but her favourite purchase was her printed trousers/ leggings/ treggings (she's not quite sure what category they fall under). Whatever they are, they are perfect for the office or a night out which made her very happy indeed.
Food, glorious food!
This week Úna was delighted to attend a special event hosted by SuperValu at 25 Fitzwilliam Place. The four-course meal was designed by chef Kevin Dundon and featuring an amazing array of dishes including a mouth-watering pork skillet and a raspberry panna cotta for dessert!
Get Pinning
Her.ie have been on Pinterest for a while now and New York Fashion Week has encouraged us to get pinning in earnest. Cathy is a self-confessed magpie so she's happy to pin all of the pretty things. For delicious food, fashion fads and beauty picks, follow us here.
