These are a few of our favourite things… this week at least.

Gimme Love

This week Ed Sheeran played a surprise gig at Dublin’s Vicar Street that sold out in minutes. With tickets costing just a €10 a few members of the Her.ie team couldn’t resist, and this was the highlight of Grace‘s week. From previews of Ed’s new material from his upcoming album, ‘Multiply‘, an incredible version of ‘The Parting Glass’ for his Granny in the audience and a snippet of ‘Raglan Road‘ during his song ‘A Team‘, it was without the best tenner we’ve ever spent.

Well Read

The bookshelves at Her.ie got a little boost this week after a visit from our friends at Bord Gáis. They sent in two lovely men (always welcome) and a hamper of books to mark the second year of their Donate A Library campaign, calling out for people across the country to nominate groups and charities they would like to see receive a library worth €1,500. You can find out more about this great initiative here.

Tea-rrific

This week Úna got to try out Robert Roberts’ new brand of delicious strong tea and boy is it tasty. Specially blended for lovers of strong tea – the mix contains Kenyan and full-flavoured Assam teas giving it a deliciously full-bodied taste. Amazing.

A New Look

This week, Sue received her latest purchase from New Look which she is slightly mad about… She thinks she looks like she’s from the 20’s. (Sue wishes to point out that this is not Sue modelling the top)

Sweets for my Sweet

The lovely folks at Rimmel sent the new Sweetie Crush collection our way this week, cleverly packaged in this awesome retro sweets jar. Let’s just say they know the way to our hearts.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For…

Our pals at HB pretty much sorted out our summer with this little card. We get an emergency ice-cream line! It’s a bit like a genie in a lamp – three wishes and we’re out. We shall use this wisely. #HBGoodbyeSerious

Get the Gloss

Michelle and Grace were lucky enough to be invited to a delicious dinner in the Cliff Townhouse this week, where they met with Glossybox MD Rachel Kavanagh. The young Irish woman is at the helm of the most successful beauty subscription service in the world and was jetting in for a chat with beauty editors on home soil. The future looks very bright indeed for Glossybox, with one upcoming box a closely-guarded secret that we know beauty fans will LOVE. We also got a masterclass in contouring. Don’t worry… there’s a video on the way.

Top-shopping

Rebecca hit the shops with her mum at the weekend and went a bit mad in Topshop. As well as a summery dress, she picked up some leggings and a pair of shorts that would be perfect for holidays… if she ever gets somewhere booked that is!

AIMing High

Liz is rather excited this week since she’s started booking in some summer breaks. Okay, so there’s no trip to the airport just yet, but it’s hard to beat a good road trip in Ireland. First stop will be Kerry, followed by a long weekend in Mayo. Who needs the sun when you’ve got the best food and company a girl could want?

Did she mention that she gets to wear a ball gown along the way? Yeah, pretty excited…

Designer Style

Cathy is fashion obsessed and is often broke due to her habit of spending far too much on clothes. However, she’s recently discovered an interest in interiors and is crushing on the Carolyn Donnelly range at Dunnes. She picked up this adorable jewellery hanger so her multiple statement necklaces have a new home. Somebody stop her before she does any more damage!
