These are a few of our favourite things… for this week at least.

Sexy Smalls
We headed over to Arnotts bright and early on Wednesday morning for their Lingerie Show. Suffice to say if we looked like any one of these ladies in our knickers, we may never wear clothes again. There was a stunning display of smalls to suit all sizes and budgets, and we’ll be featuring lots of them on the site very soon. As an early heads up, you can take it that bright and bold is the way to go… but black lace will never be out of style.
She’s Electric
Electric Ireland announced this week that the legend that is Bonnie Tyler will be playing the Electric Ireland stage at Electric Picnic. We have a LOT of love for the husky-voiced wonder, so our Grace paid tribute by dueting with the office Michael Buble, while wearing a Bonnie wig. Stylish.
Rebecca went to see The Expendables 3 with Sue this week and described it as one of the most fun films she has seen all year. As a huge fan of action films (in particular Commando and Predator with the legend that is Arnold Schwarzenegger) and clichéd one-liners, she was in her element. In fact, she might be going to see it again!
Made in NY
Made in Chelsea is Cathy‘s guilty pleasure (shhhh) so she was excited when the first of the New York episodes aired this week. There’s the doomed relationship between Alex and Binky, the four new characters introduced to the show and of course the general goings on with Rosie, Louise, Lucy and co. Cathy’s Monday nights are pretty much sorted for the next few weeks…
Don’t Stop Me Now
This week, Marie popped along to the launch of Casa Bacardi at Electric Picnic, which saw performances from the finalists of #TryStopMe, a competition designed to unearth the best creative talent in Ireland. The winners on the night will each have their work showcased at the festival and judging by the high standard of entrants, we highly recommend that you check them out!
Secret History
Last weekend, Sue spent quite a bit of time catching up on some TV that she had missed. One of her favourite programmes is the brilliant Secret History of our Streets. Every week, the BBC team take a different street and tell the story of how it was built, who lived there and who lives there now. The show is on BBC2 and is one of the best.
Everyone’s a little bit racist…
Michelle headed to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre this week to see Avenue Q, the hit musical starring puppets with filthy mouths. What’s not to love?!
This week Liz took a trip to IKEA ‘for a chest of drawers’. Liz wrote this knowing that you never just go shopping for one thing in IKEA. Four hours later she walked out with a trolley to fill her boot and went about her evening decorating her apartment. There is a theme. If it’s bright and she could carry it, then it was going to match the décor…
Food, Glorious Food….
The lovely folks at M&S Ireland sent us in an amazing hamper of goodies from their #SummerOfFlavour range. Lets just say there are mere crumbs left. If you’re wondering what to start with, we heartily recommend the wraps, the coconut and the incredible crisps. There was an in-office feast this week. We regret nothing.
Operation Transformation
After working on a lifestyle challenge to get to a 10k, Sue has gone back again to trying to run a 5k with the Karl Henry routine for 0-5k (the Operation Transformation personal trainer). So out she went running in the rain on Saturday and Sunday and was particularly delighted about that. It will all pay off…
