The release comes the morning after his first on-camera interview since his split from 1D. According to Rolling Stone, the singer spoke to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe on Thursday.
He revealed he never wanted to be in One Direction in the first place. Ouch.
"I always wanted to go, from the first year really," Malik says in stadium bleachers. "I never really wanted to be in the band. I just gave it a go because it was there at the time."
"I realized I couldn't put any input in," he revealed in an interview with Fader. "I couldn’t give my opinion on this or that because it didn't fit the grain of what we were as a band and what we represented."
He also revealed that his solo album will be called Mind of Mine but no release date has been revealed yet.
We’re REALLY looking forward to it.
