As a full-time journalist, you will work alongside our current dedicated team every day to bring our readers the news that interests them – be it health headlines, entertainment news, the latest in fashion and beauty, fun features or honest opinion pieces. This position is full-time, which means a forty-hour week split over five days, and hanging with us in our lovely offices. Applicants should also understand that the Internet is not Monday to Friday, nine to five, so neither are we! Our shifts run from early morning to late at night and across weekends. Don't worry though - you'll be rostered alongside a wonderful team of co-workers. So awesome, in fact, you may not want to go home.
(We’ve got beanbags. And lots of tea).
If you have at least two years experience in content creation for online or print media, we’d like to hear from you.
Working at Her.ie is an exciting opportunity for writers who want to challenge themselves in a fast-paced and vibrant environment. If you’ve got a nose for the news people are set to be talking about, this might be for you.
We want people who:
Are interested in all the topics we cover for the site, from style to travel, beauty to movies, health to motors and lots more
Are eager to embrace all things online and to be ahead of the curve on how news and entertainment stories are now shared
Have at least two years media experience, full-time in an online or print position
Have an innate understanding of how social media works and how best to utilise it
Are brimming full of ideas for creative, quirky content that helps us stand out from the crowd
Will be excited to represent Her.ie in other media – radio and television appearances, video content for the site and podcasts
*An interest in music and entertainment journalism will be a bonus to any application!
