What Will We Do Now? Hollywood Heart-Throb Is Hanging Up His Hat

We’ve been drooling over him on screen for the past 20 years but Johnny Depp has revealed he is considering giving up acting altogether. No!

The three-time Oscar nominee admitted that he wouldn’t mind pursuing other avenues as he describes the life of an actor as “a kind of insane option for a human being.”

"So are there quieter things that I wouldn't mind doing? Yeah, I would not mind that," he said. 

Depp told BBC Breakfast that retirement was probably not too far away.

“At a certain point you start thinking and you know when you add up the amount of dialogue you say per year, for example, and you realise that you’ve said written words more than you’ve actually had a chance to say your own words, you start thinking about that as a kind of insane option for a human being.”

We'll miss his beautiful face...

Fear not though Johnny Depp lovers, as he isn’t going just yet.

The actor suggested he might appear as our favourite pirate Captain Jack Sparrow for one last time in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie and again as the Mad Hatter in the rumoured sequel to Alice in Wonderland.

"No, I think we're alright in those categories," he hinted.
