Yesterday we told you about a company offering clueless grooms-to-be a bespoke proposal planning service but another UK based company is taking the new over-the-top trend to the next level and is making history at the same time.
VeryFirstTo.com, a website, which sells luxury experiences and products has today launched a wedding proposal package with a difference – a 30 second marriage proposal advert which will air on Channel 4 on Valentine’s Day.
The company has revealed that the short advert will be made by a world-leading production company and VeryFirstTo promise the proposal will be conveyed in a “creative, personalised and sensational fashion.” In other words, not cheesy.

The website also sells fancy kettles, jewellery and invitations to exclusive launch parties
But, if your other half is so publicly inclined, what will this record-breaking proposal set the groom-to-be back? A staggering €160,500 (£135,000) with €2,380 (£2,000) of the fee being donated to the Variety Club Children’s Charity and he’ll have to be quick because production must start on January 31st!
Whether you think it’s romantic or ridiculous, we bet the flashy fella who opts for the ad is sure to guarantee himself a ‘yes’!
And we’re all for special proposals but we know what we’d prefer to spend so much money on - like the ring... the dress... a new handbag...
