Looks like we’re headed to County Wicklow for the weekend then, seeing as that’s where Hollywood heartthrob Michael Fassbender is currently filming his new film Frank.
The actor and the rest of the cast have landed into Ireland this week having spent two weeks filming in New Mexico. (We’d say it’s been quite the climate change.)
The cast of Frank including Fassbender in character in the middle.
Fassbender, who appears alongside Maggie Gyllenhaal and Domhnall Gleeson in the comedy, has also been sporting a rather large head for the part. What other part of his body did you think we were talking about?!
The Prometheus star has to wear a fibre-glass head throughout the film which is about a rock star who recruits a young musician.

The actor is used to playing complex characters as can be seen in Prometheus.
Speaking to the Irish Independent about the unusual-looking head, film producer Ed Guiney said: “The character Michael plays is agoraphobic, he wears a fake head so he can take his room with him whenever he goes outside.”
Sounds a little strange but hey, it’s Michael Fassbender so we’ll take him any which way!
