A 5-year-old casanova is putting his elders to shame as details of his highly romantic date are quickly going viral.
Young Freddie Gibson, from Christchurch, Dorset, recently asked his parents what a date is. When he learned of the details, he vowed to take his best friend Dee Dee out for a romantic meal.
According to The Mirror, he sent her an invitation in the post asking if she’d like to go on a date. Always the gentleman, though, Freddie insisted they wait until after she turned 5.
He saved p all his money in a specially purchased wallet until the big day.
Freddie bought Dee Dee a special bouquet of flowers and said “”Dee Dee is my best friend in the whole world and I loved our date. I’d like to take Dee Dee on another date because she’s beautiful.”
The pair went to Pizza Express where staff surprised them with hearts on their dessert. It won Dee Dee over completely.
“I really enjoyed going on a date with Freddie – especially the hearts on our ice cream!” she said.
Dee Dee’s mother Katy thinks the pair’s friendship is wonderful:
”It really was the funniest thing, an invite in the post (once Dee Dee had reached the respectable age of 5), a tiny bouquet of flowers, a table for two by the window!
“They are polar opposites in personality but really are very fond of each other, Dee Dee has even picked out her wedding dress from the local boutique!”
