You sign up to the website, answer a few questions about yourself and then allow the company take a look at your Facebook profile before they match you up with a suitable date.
The app instructs you to pick two wingmen or wingwomen to the chosen venue. There is a fee of £12 (€14.50) that must be paid beforehand but Grouper then coughs up for the first round of drinks.
Interestingly, research has found that 96% of those who go on a Grouper date wish to go on a second.
