Woman has best reaction to couple who laughed at her in a swimsuit

Jacqueline Adan recently lost 25 stone.

The San Francisco native decided to lose weight in 2012 and now, just five years later, she has lost a staggering 350 pounds. However, Jacqueline said that she still used to worry about not covering up her body due to the fact that she had a lot of loose skin on her legs. She previously had surgery to remove almost two stone worth of excess skin around her stomach, but some still remains in other places.

The 30-year-old was recently on holidays in Mexico when she told herself that she was going to stop being self-conscious and take her cover-up off. But when she went into the pool, she said that she could hear a couple nearby laughing. She took to Instagram to share her story.

"I was nervous to take my cover up off and to walk into the pool or walk on the beach. I still felt like that same 500 pound girl... then it happened. A couple sitting by the pool started laughing and pointing at me and making fun of me as soon as I took my cover up off."

But Jacqueline said that instead of getting upset by the couple's mean-spirited actions, she took a deep breath, smiled, and went into the pool.

"I was not going to let people like that affect me anymore! I am not going to let what other people think of me stop me from living my life. They do not know me. They do not know how I have worked my ass off to lose 350 pounds. They do not know how I am recovering from major surgeries. They have no right to sit and point and laugh at me."

Jacqueline finished her post by encouraging everybody to love their body no matter what size they are and to "just keep smiling." Her post was met with much praise as Instagram users applauded her bravery and honesty about her weight-loss journey.
