X Factor Winner’s Single Set To Benefit Two Charities

It’s almost a dead cert for the UK Christmas number one every year, but whoever wins the X Factor this year won’t be the only one celebrating when they top the charts. It has been confirmed today that Syco Entertainment, the Simon Cowell owned company behind X Factor, will split profits from the winner’s single between Great Ormond Street Hospital and Together for Short Lives. The charity single will be digitally released first, December 15^th (the day of the final) and will be available in stores from December 18^th. Cowell said of the charities involved: "Every day they do inspiring work and help a load of kids and their families, all of which need their expertise and support. "I have been lucky enough to see first-hand the great work that both of these charities do and I am thrilled that we can do something to help by donating the sales of The X Factor winner's single to them both."
