A teacher decided to come out as gay to his students as part of an anti-bullying campaign and received one of the sweetest letters we've ever seen in response.
The unidentified man told Pink News that he was “stunned" when he asked which of students had heard ‘gay’ being used as an insult and "almost every one of my class put their hands up".
After speaking to the headmaster of the primary school, the teacher agreed to tell his class about his sexuality in order to “explain when people use that word they’re talking about me" and was thrilled with the response.
“The reaction was fantastic – there were a lot of gasps and shocked looks and some basic questions – do you have a boyfriend, etc – but after a couple of minutes, they were over it and we moved on to the rest of the lesson.”
However, one little girl decided to take things once step further and gave her teacher a letter after class that "brought tears to my eyes".
