Need your passport photos taken? Take some inspiration from this…

Getting photos done are no easy feat.

We can all selfie away to our heart’s content, using the right lighting and most flattering angle, but when it comes to someone taking a photo of us, it’s often horrifying to see what we actually look like.

I personally, look like a literal thumb any time I need a photo taken.

One Michigan girl took photography matters into her own hands when she needed a new photo taken for her student card.

17-year-old Tyra Hunt was getting her photo taken at East Kentwood High School and instead of subjecting herself to the painful process that is trying to get a good photo of herself, she decided to have some fun instead.

Not one to pull a dumb pose or make a silly face, Tyra decided to take inspiration from a past photo where she looked just adorable.

Tyra explained to Mashable why she chose to recreate her younger self’s photo

“I picked that photo because it’s huge in my family! That day in kindergarten, I refused to take my school pictures, so the principal called my mom to make her come up to help me get it  over with…

“They took a few photos of me crying and they called me back in for retakes and they finally got a good one!”

To recreate the photo to an absolute tee, she even went to the effort of ironing on USA stickers to her jumper.

What a WOMAN.

People didn’t hold back their praise for the incredible photo.
