I could think of slightly better ways to spend a YEAR...
It's supposedly an old wives tale that if you throw an old tooth over your shoulder and make a wish, it comes true.
So what kind of luck or chance does throwing a spoon over your shoulder bring?
One Irish guy, Niall Brady spent nearly a YEAR practising throwing spoons over his shoulder - but the catch being that it had to land in a mug on his worktop.
The amateur spoon thrower showcased his skills in a video, and his dedication to the craft has to be admired.
Practising every day and in every weather, Niall took nearly 365 days attempting to land the spoon in the mug and filmed every attempt on Snapchat, which results in a glorious stream of clips before finishing with the goal!
G'WAN!
Niall posted the video on YouTube and viewers had nothing but love for the afro-haired spoon-thrower.
Come to think of it, why isn't spoon-throwing a recognised sport at the Olympic Games? Maybe that's where we're going wrong with sports.
