An unidentified man in the US state of Colorado ran over his own head in a freak accident this weekend.
Reports suggest that the man was backing out of the driveway to his home on Saturday morning when the cigarette he was smoking dropped down the front of his jacket, setting fire to the garment.
The driver, who was carrying one passenger in the front, jumped out of the vehicle to avoid getting burned.
He had failed to pull the breaks on the car, however, and the moving vehicle knocked him over. The man was subsequently pulled under the driver’s side wheel, which rolled over his head and caused life-threatening injuries.
The passenger, a male relative of the drivers, was unharmed.
The driver was taken to the hospital and found to be in critical condition, but he is now expected to survive.
