
Singer Leslie Gore has died at 68 years of age, following a battle with lung cancer.
The star shot to fame in the 60s with hits It's My Party, You Don't Own Me and Sunshine, Lollipops And Rainbows, as well as appearing in the television series of Batman.
She was later diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away this week at New York University Langone Medical Center in Manhattan.
Her long-term partner Lois Sasson paid tribute to Gore, saying she was "a wonderful human being — caring, giving, a great feminist, great woman, great human being, great humanitarian".
