A Lizzo and Cardi B collaboration is coming out tomorrow

Sarah McKenna Barry

This is what dreams are made of.

Lizzo and Cardi B are all set to join forces on the track Rumours, which comes out tomorrow.

Rumours will be Lizzo’s first single since 2019, and we cannot wait to give it a listen.

The grammy-award winner broke the news about the collaboration with a video on Instagram earlier this week.

In it, Lizzo video-calls a very sleepy Cardi B at 9 am. She initially jokes that Harry Styles would be joining her for the collab, alluding to calls from fans for the two to perform together.

However, Lizzo made it very clear that the Bodak Yellow rapper would be featured on the upcoming track.

After the initial announcement, both Lizzo and Cardi B shared snaps from the single art on their Instagram grids.

Fans flocked to the comments section to share their anticipation.

One wrote: “This Duo Is About To Be Dangerous! I can feel it.”

Another said: “Two goddesses.”

A third fan said: “IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING!”

Another commented: “two of my favs on one track!! I’m gonna die”

Model Tess Holliday is among fans eagerly anticipating the release of the single.

She wrote: “We are readyyyyyyy.”

Same Tess, same.

Given the fact that Lizzo hasn’t released new music since 2019, we all have pretty high hopes for this track.

Her third studio album, Cuz I Love You, peaked inside the top five on the US Billboard 200. On top of that, it gave us the musical gems that are Turth Hurts and Juice.

Last year, at the 2020 Grammy Awards, Lizzo received a massive eight nominations and took home the gongs for Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Traditional R&B Performance.

Cardi B, meanwhile, has had a pretty successful year. Last summer, she released the hugely popular WAP with Megan Thee Stallion, which saw her become the only female rap artist to make Billboard’s Hot 100 chart-topping singles in two decades.
