Actor and comedian Niall Tóibín has died at the age of 89.
The Corkman died in Dublin early on Wednesday after a long illness, according to RTÉ.
Tóibín was born in Cork in 1929, and appeared in a number of well-known productions including Veronica Guerin, The Clinic, Ballykissangel and Caught In A Free State.
He cemented his hand prints outside Dublin's Gaiety Theatre in 2005.
