Actor Michael Jace has been detained by police in Los Angeles after his wife was shot dead at the couple’s family home.
Representatives for the LAPD have confirmed that the 50-year-old star was taken in for questioning on Monday night, following the death of his wife April, 40, at around 8.30pm.
April’s three children were in the home at the time of her death.
Officer Sara Faden told the Los Angeles Times: 'It looks to have started as a domestic-related incident.'
The couple had been married for almost eleven years.
Jace is best known for his role in long-running TV drama The Shield, where he played a policeman from 2002 to 2008.
The actor has also appeared in Southland, The Mentalist and Burn Notice in recent years.
