A group of friends who rented a property on Airbnb for a weekend of fun in Paliseau, south of Paris were horrified to discover the decomposing body of a woman in the back garden of the property.
According to The Guardian, foul play is suspected and police said the body was found in a hunched position at the rear of the property which opens out into the woods.
The woman’s body was found “hunched in a dug-out area, her head against the ground, covered in branches and surrounded by wood stumps”, said the source.
The victim was dressed and had a large ring on her finger but was not wearing shoes, and no identifying documents were found with the remains.
There will be an autopsy, and the renters are currently being questioned by law enforcement.
