One bystander told local TV that she heard about 30 gunshots, while another witness said:
“It was a mad house, people were running everywhere. All people were saying was their friends’ names to see if they’re okay — a lot of phone calls to parents. But it was one of the scariest sights to just see people come pouring out like that.”

It’s not clear as yet if police are still looking for the shooter.
This tragedy comes just six weeks after the massacre at the gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando, some 150 miles away from Fort Myers. A total of 49 people died in what has been declared the worst mass shooting in American history.
