Reports are coming through this morning of another mass shooting in the US, this time at a nightclub in Fort Myers, Florida.

It’s believed the attack happened during a teenage disco at Club Blu Bar and Grill in the city. Two people are reported dead so far, and as many as 16 injured.

Some reports say that the club patrons could be as young as 13.

One person has been detained, according to authorities.

The Mirror is reporting that there are three different shooting scenes – near the club and at nearby junctions – but it is not known yet if the incidents are connected.

One bystander told local TV that she heard about 30 gunshots, while another witness said:

“It was a mad house, people were running everywhere. All people were saying was their friends’ names to see if they’re okay — a lot of phone calls to parents. But it was one of the scariest sights to just see people come pouring out like that.”

It’s not clear as yet if police are still looking for the shooter.

This tragedy comes just six weeks after the massacre at the gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando, some 150 miles away from Fort Myers. A total of 49 people died in what has been declared the worst mass shooting in American history.
