A teenage boy who lured his friend to a woodland and stabbed him more than 70 times has been jailed in the UK.

Marcel Grzeszcz, 15, killed 12-year-old Roberts Buncis in Lincolnshire woodland last December with a knife.

Sky News reports that the 15-year-old had claimed he acted in self defence during a drug deal. The jury, however, concluded that the incident was “motivated by anger.”

Justice Jeremy Baker said: “When the two of you met up in the wooded area, I’m satisfied while the deceased was unarmed and unaware of what was to take place, you came armed with a large knife and with latex gloves intending at that time, at the very least, to cause him serious bodily harm.”

Justice Baker added that the attack was premeditated and that there was “a determined effort to remove his head” during the “savage and brutal” incident.

Greszcz, who can now be named for the first time after the lifting of anonymity rules, offered Roberts £50 to sell cannabis.

The court heard that there was no evidence that the 12-year-old had been armed, as Greszcz suggested.

In a victim impact statement, Roberts’ father, Edgars Buncis, said: “How do I put into words how I feel? This is all wrong. No father should ever have to bury their son.

“Nothing is a reason for this. I have lost my destination and my purpose. My life is in a cemetery. I feel empty and nothing will change this.”

Grzeszcz was sentenced to at least 16 years in prison. The judge added that he may never be released.
