The brothers suspected of carrying out the massacre at the Charlie Hebdo headquarters in Paris have been killed.
Said and Cherif Kouachi, the siblings believed to responsible for the Charlie Hebdo massacre were killed in an exchange of fire as the siege situation came to a head in the last half hour. Their 26-year-old male hostage has been freed.
The men had been holed up in at a printworks factory in Dammartin-en-Goele, near Charles de Gaulle airport, since early this morning.
According to AFP, the brothers, who left cover while firing, have been killed and their hostage freed safely.
Reuters reports that the hostage-taker who has held up to six people at a kosher supermarket in Eastern Paris has also been shot dead.
(UPDATE: 5: 33pm) At least four hostages were killed when French authorities stormed the supermarket, along with the jihadist gunman who was responsible for the killing of a police woman on Thursday.
Two police officers have been injured in the incident.
