Two men have been arrested in connection with the deaths of three teenagers at a disco in Tyrone over the weekend.

The men, aged 52 and 40, are being held on suspicion of manslaughter, police said this evening.

“Detectives from PSNI Major Investigation Team investigating the deaths of three teenagers at the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown on Saint Patrick’s Day have arrested two men aged 52 and 40 earlier today on suspicion of manslaughter,” the PSNI said in a tweet.

“They are currently in custody.”

Two boys and a girl died on Sunday night after a suspected crushing incident in the queue for a disco at the Greenvale Hotel in Cookstown, Co. Tyrone.

The teens have been named as Lauren Bullock (17), Connor Currie (16) and Morgan Barnard (17).

Lauren passed away at the scene while Connor and Morgan were pronounced dead in hospital.

Police investigating the deaths have urged witnesses to come forward even if they are underage.

“I want to reassure you, the focus of our investigation is not the age of people who were at the event,” PSNI Detective Chief Superintendent Raymond Murray said today.

“We need to know what you saw so the heartbroken families of Connor, Lauren and Morgan know what happened to their children.”
