A security alert forced authorities to evacuate the main auditorium at the Citywest Hotel today ahead of the Fine Gael Ard Fheis.
The Taoiseach was due to give his opening address in the auditorium, however it was postponed after an empty bullet cartridge was reportedly found on stage.
It has not yet been confirmed whether it was an imitation bullet, UTV reports.
There is a strong garda presence at the event which began Friday evening and runs throughout Saturday.
