A cyclist in his 60s has died after a shocking incident in Wexford on Sunday.
Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at Ballywilliam in New Ross just before 1pm on the R731 on Sunday afternoon.
The man was said to be cycling in a group when the devastating incident occurred.
The man was given treatment at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later.
His body has been removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford and a post-mortem is due to take place.
Diversions were put in place to allow for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
Gardaí have sent out an appeal for witnesses, asking anyone with dash cam footage or information to come forward.
