The eight-year-old boy who was left fighting for his life following a quad bike accident in Co. Clare has died.
Ultan Hayes was travelling on the vehicle with his father shortly after 9.00pm on Thursday night when the bike collided with a stone wall in the townland of Ballinagoagh North near Mountshannon and Whitegate.
The boy was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital before being transferred to Temple Street Children Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries yesterday evening.
The Gardaí has launched an investigation into the tragic incident.
