While Enda Kenny has refused to discuss options for the next government until the count ends, he as accepted that the vote has indicated the want for change.
Speaking at the count centre in Castlebar, he conceded that Fine Gael and Labour would not have the numbers to form the next government.
Kenny said he had a duty to respect the decision made by the people of Ireland and that he intends to do that.

“I’d like to think that it would be possible, given the final results, to be able to put a government together that can work through the many difficulties that we have” he said.
