A female cyclist has died following a collision in west Cork.
The woman, who was from west Cork, was struck by a car at around 1pm near Shepperton Lake, between Leap and Skibbereen.
She was in her late 40s.
The woman's body has now been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The road has been closed close to Derryleigh and diversions are currently in place.
Gardaí are advising people in the area to take care on the diversionary roads as they are narrow roads.
Gardaí in Clonakilty are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
