
Gardaí are investigating a shooting at a Dublin house earlier this morning, where a 23-year old was discovered with an ‘apparent gunshot wound’.
It is believed the young man was shot at a property in Oldtower Cresent, Clondalkin shortly before 6am.
Paramedics attended to the 23-yearold at the scene,before he was brough to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown with non life-threatening injuries.
Confirming the news, a Garda spokesman confirmed that no arrests have been made, and no further injuries reported.
The shooting is not believed to be connected with two gangland shootings which took place at the Regency Hotel, Drumcondra and North Strand in recent weeks.
The scene has now been preserved for a technical examination.
