Caroline and Rachel from Buckeyes State enjoyed their night in Killarney a little too much when they returned to the USA without Caroline's driving licence.
Luckily, Gardaí in Killarney made sure to return it along with a hilarious letter.
They posted Caroline's driving licence back to the USA and advised her not to drink 'so much Guinness' during her next trip to Ireland.
The letter read: "Dear Caroline. Please find enclosed your driving licence.
"This was handed into the Garda station in Killarney, Co Kerry and I am now returning it to you.
"I hope you had a wild and enjoyable time here in Ireland, please feel free to visit us again anytime, and next time, don't drink so much Guinness and lose your driving licence. It's a very important document.
"If you have any queries or questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Kind regards, Sgt Joe O'Sullivan."
Gardaí posted the story online and it quickly went viral.
They posted a photo of the letter on Instagram and wrote:
"Caroline and Rachel recently took a besties trip to Ireland, and well, the rest is as the story goes. We’re proud that our way of community-based policing continues to bridge the Atlantic. It really is the small things, isn’t it?"
