Add us as a preferred source on Google »Has anyone else's inbox been flooded with offers for Black Friday? It feels like we've been receiving emails every five minutes for special offers, one-off deals, and major discounts, but do we actually need any of the stuff on offer?
We're becoming more conscious of our spending and the impact it'll undoubtedly have on the planet so supporting something like Black Friday doesn't sit right with us.
This year we're doing what we can to ignore the waves of sales and discounts and are focusing on sustainable Irish businesses who genuinely need our support.
We've seen far too many independent businesses suffer throughout the years and it's because we're not supporting them enough.
Green Friday is an anti-Black Friday movement that was started in 2015. The aim of Green Friday is to raise awareness about the negative impacts of society's shopping habits.
People are encouraged to reflect on their shopping and spending habits. They're also urged to make better purchasing decisions by shopping locally and sustainably.
There are so many incredible Irish businesses to support this Green Friday like Clo Chocolates. Handcrafted by French chocolatier, Clotilde Rambaud, each creation from Clo Chocolates embodies the artistry and passion that has made this brand a standout in the Irish confectionery world. Clo Chocolates is crafted with traceable cocoa beans, 100% sustainable, and no palm oil.
How are you supporting Green Friday this year?
