FINALLY.

Pretty much everyone loves Instagram, the pretty filters and easy editing means that any picture can be easily improved. But for some people, the perfect Insta-pic requires a lot more than just a filter, it’s all about angles, lighting, and the help of their friends or family.

Fans of the photo-taking tool will know the peril of clicking on a photo twice as it likes the photo and plenty of us have been guilty of liking a stranger’s or even worse, ex’s photo.

One the biggest downfalls of Instagram has always remained the inability to zoom in on a picture or video, with many Instagram newbies trying to zoom and liking the photo instead. Awkward.

Today, however that all changes at Instagram announced they are installing the zoom tool on the app.

In an Instagram video (how apt) the big bosses said

“Starting today, you can pinch to zoom on photos and videos in feed, on profiles and on Explore. Dive into an adorable puppy’s smile or into every detail of your friend’s new shirt.
Over the past six months, you’ve seen many exciting changes come to Instagram, from a new icon to longer videos and even a new way to share everyday moments with Instagram  Stories.

“And as things change, we’re still focused on improving the core parts of Instagram. Zoom is available today for Instagram on iOS. Zoom will be available on Android in the coming  weeks.”
