The holiday rental is called Thatcher's Rest and is one of six cottages available for rent along the east coast in Bettystown, Co. Meath.
It was announced as the winner at the 2016 European Home Holiday Awards, which were held in Brussels.
Liz Pickett, who runs the cottages told the
Independent, "We're over the moon. We had zero expectation of winning. We felt like we'd won being shortlisted, to be honest. We were up against gorgeous places ranging from Cornwall to an island in Croatia, with all the bells and whistles. It is a major wow to have won."
