The Irish man who was severely injured after an alleged altercation with his brother in Sydney in January has been released from hospital.
Patrick Lyttle was hospitalised in an intensive care ward at St Vincent's Hospital after he was punched by his brother Barry during a disagreement on a night out last month.
While the 31-year-old's life had hung in the balance, he was today released from the hospital and will receive treatment at a rehabilitation centre over the next three weeks.
Barry was taken into police custody after the incident, where he was found to have a low blood alcohol level, and was later charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.
According to The Mirror, he is currently staying with his aunt in Sydney.
