If you’re been enjoying the sun over the last few days, we’ve got some good news… it’s not going anywhere.

According to Met Éireann, temperatures could hit 18 degrees celsius over the next day or two and there are no clouds on the horizon as it expected to remain dry and sunny.

The forecaster has said that Tuesday will “dry, bright and mostly sunny” with winds light to moderate east to northeasterly, while the evening will be cool with fog in some places.

Wednesday is also expected to be dry and mostly sunny, with little to no wind in the evening.

Things will take a slight turn for the worse on Thursday evening when a dry and bright day will be followed by outbreaks of rain in southern parts of the country in the evening.

Friday will remain mild but a band of rain is likely to spread from the west in the evening.

The rain is due to clear early on Saturday morning and weather experts have said that next weekend will be “rather cool and breezy with scattered showers”.
