A man has been rescued and taken to hospital after his car drove off Howth pier.
The incident occurred this morning just after 10.30am when the car the man was in drove from the pier into the water.
The man was rescued and taken to Beaumont Hospital. He was the sole occupant of the car.
Gardaí said the man was completely conscious when hospitalised.
An investigation is ongoing.
