It’s time to Shatter The Glass…

On February 18th, we will be hosting our very first #HerTalks, a new series of live events brought to you from Her.ie, which will focus on the many issues affecting women in modern Ireland.

The objective of the talk is to encourage women to fight for better representation in politics, media, and high-level positions. We endeavour to highlight the importance of women in positions of power and influencing change.

Leading the line-up is Sinn Féin Vice President and #GE16 candidate, Mary Lou McDonald.

Her.ie’s Liz McMugh will join Women For Election representatives on stage to discuss female roles in government and the importance of the young vote in the upcoming election.

Moving away from the politics, we will hear from Today FM news broadcaster Susan Keogh, whose incredible response to a Twitter troll shaming her for being a working mother recently went viral.

To close, Her.ie’s Cassie Delaney will speak about our work alongside Women’s Aid, to combat digital abuse and the phenomenal response we have received to #StandAgainstUCD200, this two-minute survey that could help change Irish law.

During the event, we will hear from confirmed speakers and time will be allocated for audience participation.

If you would like to have your say on how you would like to be represented, then join us in Project Arts Centre, Dublin on Thursday from 7pm.
