Aw, no.
Met Éireann has warned those that suffer from hay fever that the pollen count is going to be “high to very high” today and across the weekend.
In Leinster and Ulster, we will see high counts due to the (very welcome) warm and sunny weather.
According to The Sun, a spokesperson for the forecaster said: “The pollen risk will be high for grass pollen in eastern and south-eastern areas and more moderate due to showers in the West.
Pollen Count for today Wednesday:
Low in Connacht.
Moderate in Leinster and Munster.
Moderate to High in Ulster.— Met Éireann (@MetEireann) June 19, 2019
“Weed pollen will also be airborne with a significant risk to some sufferers.
“Most grasses are now in flower and emitting plenty of pollen on warm, dry days. The risk will be high to very high when temperatures are in the high teens or above.
“Nettle, dock and plantain will be airborne in significant amounts, with a high risk on warm, dry sunny days.”
Meanwhile, the forecast for today is:
“Dry in midland eastern and southern areas for much of the morning with sunny spells, cloudier in the west and north with scattered showers. Showers will become more widespread this afternoon with a few heavy downpours in places. Highest temperatures ranging 14 to 18 degrees Celsius, in moderate to fresh southwest breezes.”
