The incident happened in August.

An Australian man has been found not guilty of murdering a woman he met on Tinder.

Warriena Wright fell off a balcony trying to get away from Gable Tostee, who had locked her outside his apartment.

The pair went on a date and then back to Tostee’s apartment after meeting through the popular dating app.

It was suggested that the woman who was from New Zealand fell off the balcony after trying to escape her date.

The man audio recorded over two hours of the date on his phone. After drinking and talking, the woman is heard to be hitting the man according to ABC.

Tostee can be heard saying ”that’s enough” and Wright then threatens to call police saying “I will f***ing destroy your jaw. It’s not f***ing funny.”

Tostee then says ”you’re lucky I haven’t thrown you off my balcony” adding, ‘if you try anything I’ll knock you out”

The defence said the New Zealand woman was becoming increasingly irrational and aggressive toward Tostee and that she forced him to lock her out on the balcony. Tostee’s lawyer argued that in doing so he was “de-escalating” the situation.

Wright died after she fell 14 stories from the balcony.

The jury deliberated for four days after struggling to reach a verdict.

A decision was delayed further after it emerged that a juror had been posting about attending the trial on Instagram.

Tostee was found not guilty in the Queensland state Supreme Court, Brisbane. He was also acquitted of manslaughter when the jury delivered their verdict Thursday.
