Newly adopted dog saves 6-year-old boy from drowning

Awwww.

A rescue dog proved that superheroes come in all shapes and sizes when he saved his best pal (and new owner) from drowning.

Yeti, formerly known as Abel, recently found his furever home with the Lennox family in Arizona, according to the Camp Verde Bugle.

Three weeks later, the one-year-old pit bull mix joined his family on a outdoor picnic when 6-year-old Fallon Lennox fell into the water.

Fallon’s dad Tommy told the publication how Yeti left into the creek to try and save the little boy.

He explained that Fallon had fallen into an area where it was too deep for him to stand up, and he didn’t know how to swim yet.

He continued:

“It was too cold, they weren’t supposed to be swimming, and Fallon fell in the river and got swept down the river toward the little falls.

“All the adults were running to him and couldn’t get to him – the dog got to him and pushed him up to shore.”

Yeti not only managed to bring Fallon to safety, but he made sure to block out the rushing water from hitting the boy as he pushed him to safety.

Tommy continued:

“The dog literally pushed him to the person that was closest … He’s Fallon’s best friend.”

The courageous pup was fed Angus hamburger and a sausage for dinner that night as a thankyou from his grateful family.
