You’d imagine they’d have other stuff to be getting on with at Ireland’s parliament.
However, at least one visitor or member of staff of the Houses of the Oireachtas Commission has been spending their time attempting to access blocked porn websites.
According to Freedom of Information data published by the Irish Independent, a whopping 970 attempts were made to access sites including www.modernandmature.com, www.pinupdoll.com and www.westcoastbikini.com in just one month between December 5 and 29.
On December 21 alone, 44 attempts were made to access pornography. Users also attempted to access escort profiles, which are blocked inside Leinster House.
Oireachtas authorities told the newspaper that “some of the data may have been generated by automatic links from other sites via pop-ups”.
