He is going to be ROLLING in it.

For those of you who have just done the Leaving Cert, prepare to feel a little bit under-achieving.

One 18-year-old has scored a job with top legal firm Mayer Brown in London, which pays a healthy £47,000 (€55,000) a year.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, Timmy Kennedy from Lurgan sat his Leaving Cert this Summer before leaving to move to London to start his new job.

After achieving A-levels in history, music and English literature, Timmy got the job in Mayer Brown after doing work experience in law firms in Belfast and spending time shadowing UUP MLA Jo-Anne Dobson at Stormont in Northern Ireland.

Speaking about his joy at getting the once-in-a-lifetime job, the teenager said he knew he wanted this opportunity from a young age.

“There is a lot of earning potential in this job but I wanted to be a solicitor from the age of 16 because it’s an extremely important, fruitful career…

“My parents have warned me about the hard work involved but they know it’s a good industry to get into and they were very supportive.”

Timmy said he doesn’t feel he will miss out on the university experience, as his new office is a social place.

“I’ve already realised that I’ve joined a really social firm…

“I wouldn’t want to do something that would have me working or studying all the time. It was really important for me to ensure I’d have a social life outside of work.”

Feeling jealous? I sure ain’t, that’s for sure…
