The crash took place on the M4 very early this morning.
One man has been killed and another has been injured following a two-vehicle collision in Co. Kildare.
As RTÉ reports, the accident took place early shortly after 2am on the M4 in Moyvalley.
The driver of one of the vehicles - a man in his 60s - was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has since been taken to Naas General Hospital. Another man, who is in his 30s, was injured in the collision. He was brought to Connolly Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are said to be non-life-threatening.
The road has since been closed to allow for a Gardaí forensic examination. Diversions are currently in place.
Any witnesses to the collision have been urged to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800, or any garda station.
