“Open today from 6pm’.
The country is in lockdown tonight with a red weather warning in situ and public transport cancelled across the board.
Many businesses have decided to shut down while the blizzard conditions take hold but there are others that have decided to keep their doors regardless.
Pantibar is one, they opened last night and are doing the same tonight despite the fact that the weather is expected to be much worse.
We’ll be open again this evening for hardy locals and people who say stuff like “Jaysus, a bit of snow and the whole bloody country closes down!” pic.twitter.com/QWMdQTUZ6k

The Dublin bar, located on Capel Street, is open from 6 pm and people have taken to Twitter to label the decision “irresponsible” and ridiculous”.
This is very irresponsible, both for your staff and any customers.

However, Pantibar has said that many of its staff live on the same street and customers are “fully grown adults capable of making decisions, plenty of whom are local regulars who can walk home”.
Why is everyone always so worried about our staff?? Half of them live on the same block, it’s their choice if they want to work – and shockingly some do! As for customers, they’re fully grown adults capable of making decisions, plenty of whom are local regulars who can walk home https://t.co/hfpdizdqqY

Some pubs and bars will close, others might stay open but we’re taking the advice issued today and staying put at home.
For the safety of all our Customers and our Team we will be closed today Thursday 1st March #StormEmma
